Contemporary Fine Art

Mo Walker

Most artwork is available as original work, quality prints or greetings cards.

Mo Walker

Mo Walker studied fine art at BICC, having originally studied at Doncaster, where she was awarded a scholarship to attend.

She has spent 14 years painting and travelling throughout Europe, where she gained many commissions , notably corporate work including a front elevation of the Crown Plaza in Amsterdam.

She also owned and operated her own gallery in the Piece Hall in Halifax, selling artworks and providing art workshops for children with special needs.

Her dedication in the latter resulted in a visit from the queen and late consort, the Duke of Edinburgh presenting artists and artisans on the Piece Hall.

Her work ranges from vivid expressionist canvasses to intimate and highly detailed life drawing, and she has a speciality for pet portraiture.

‘Being an artist is a state of mind, it’s never about money for us. Selling one’s work is nice, but it’s the journey getting there that really counts.’
